We work together with families to keep our clients in control of their own care as far as they are able. Every single one of our carers are a direct employee of Focus on Care. We never use agency staff.
This is important as it means we can ensure that each of our carers are delivering care to our high standards and that they are each fully supported in their roles. As direct employees, we manage each carer’s pay and benefits, including their holiday pay, pension contributions, overtime and travel expenses. Each of them have an assigned line manager and mentor; someone to go to with concerns or if they themselves need extra support. We believe in supporting our carers so they can support you.
Our Carers complete a specialist and comprehensive training programme. We match clients and Carers to ensure personalities and interests are effectively aligned.
We work in close partnership with the local community multi-disciplinary teams including Social Workers, GPs, Pharmacists, Occupational Therapists, Community Psychiatric Nurses and the 111 service.
