Dementia care
Being diagnosed with dementia can come as a shock. It can be a worrying and upsetting time - not only for the sufferer, but also for those close to them; those affected may need a great deal of reassurance and support.
At Focus on Care we know through experience that receiving quality care in the home, surrounded by precious memories and possessions, having the freedom to make choices and maintaining that daily routine, can significantly improve the quality of an individual’s life and overall wellbeing.
Our expertly trained professional carers provide a range of tailored services in the home, from companionship, personal care, domestic support, cooking, lifestyle and social activities, through to the management of complex conditions, such as dementia including Alzheimer’s Disease and Parkinson’s.
We work closely with the client and their families to create an individually tailored support plan that meets the changing needs of all parties. Whether the requirement is for frequent visits to simply check that everything is OK, or for short or extended periods to give carers a much needed break, our services place the needs, wishes and aspirations of the customer at the heart of the care and support process. We can arrange support at short notice, such as returning home from hospital or respite support for family.

It is a pleasure working with elderly clients and helping them stay in their own home and remain as independent as possible.
